Since things have cooled off a bit from the 2018 Elevate Summit, I’ve heard from many pharmacists that they love the idea of X, but they couldn’t do it because Y and Z….
They said they needed a step by step plan to follow. A turn-key program they could emulate and implement in a few weeks.
So I’m going to go through the entire process of setting up, marketing and planning a brand new business, for the sole purpose of HELPING YOU.
That’s right, I’m starting a pharmacogenomic and nutrient deficiency consulting business from scratch called Genetic Consults.
If that sounds a bit crazy, well it is!
It aligns with my commitment to help pharmacists advance their practice in whatever way I can, even if it means being a human guinea pig.
And as my favorite boss always said, he’s from the “Show-Me State” (Missouri) so he needs to see it to believe it.
So that is exactly what I’m going to do. I’m going to keep track of every expense, every decision, every conversation I have with a provider and document it step-by-step.
We will track the ROI together and determine.
- Which markets to focus on.
- Which supplements to recommend.
- Which labs to request.
- And which gene panels cover which meds.
I’m going to offer a large suite of products, software and testing panels in order to share the pros and cons of each. You’ll get to see the tests in action as I’ll be using myself as the control and then decide which tests would work best for your needs.
I’ve already purchased my first two consumer DNA test panels 23andMe – Health + Ancestry ($199) and the Vitagene – Health + Ancestry ($79).
Once I get these tests in (2-day Prime shipping) I’ll swab my mouth and send off to receive my test results in 4-5 weeks.
Here on the blog, I’ll compare results between the two and if the Vitagene test works just as well, it will be the one I’ll recommend for your patients.
I’m going to take this new business from A to Z and give you the honest assessment of the program. By the end of this experiment you may literally know more about me than you know about yourself!
